The Converging Section Story

The Beginning
The Fellowship
The Converging Section is a group of young aerospace industry professionals. We are all passionate about space exploration and wish to share that passion with others.
We were inspired by the many programs for college students who are looking to find a place in the space industry. Some of us found our way into the space industry through the generosity of these programs. None of these programs support high school students however.

Many people find their passion during high school, and while knowing what you would like to do with your life is exciting, it can be intimidating and confusing to see a path from where you are to where you'd like to be. We want to help support you as you find your way.
The Converging Section Fellowship provides an all expenses paid trip to a simulated space mission at the Cosmosphere International Science Education Center. During this experience you will work with other TCS Fellows and learn about the history and future of space exploration.
Following your trip to space camp, our mentors will provide guidance to help you explore your interest in the space industry and use their experience to help you chart your own path. We provide financial assistance with standardized test preparation, ACT/SAT fees, and college admission fees.
The Converging Section Fellowship has five fellows in 2021. Students aged 13-16 entering their freshman or sophomore year of high school will be considered. Applications will be open in May and the awardees will be announced in June. The simulated space mission experience will occur in the end of July.
